SOLD: 1978 D100 2 Barrel 318 $1000 OBO
Jonathan is selling his 1978 D100 2 barrel 318, automatic transmission. It is mechanically stock other than dual exhaust with glasspacks. The ac compressor went out a couple years back, but with a compressor you would be good to go. It has a rust free straight body other than a minimal dent in each front fender. Jonathan's father bought this truck from the original owner around 1995. He had a camper on it. It has been in southern Nevada for all 33 years. It was originally two tone, red and white with chrome trim splitting the two colors. Jonathan has the custom 100 emblems but not the chrome trim. He also has the tailgate but it doesn't have a working handle. The truck needs tires. The passenger side door panel is missing. He might be able to get that. The speedometer bounces. It is not the original speedometer. This one shows about 20,000 more miles than are actually on it. It has around 150,000. The other gauges seem to be functioning.
The truck has a new water pump, fuel pump, power steering pump, and power steering box. It has new plugs, cables, cap and rotor. Jonathan also replaced the transmission filter and gasket. The truck doesn't leak any fluids. The paint would probably buff out to decent, Jonathan has done that in spots. The paint has peeled over the rear window. It has an exhaust manifold leak on the drivers side (easy fix with a new gasket). The truck has power brakes and power steering. It originally had a a sliding rear window which he replaced with a solid one. It also originally had a rear working bumper with hitch. Johnathan put a small chrome bumper on which is mostly straight. The front bumper has bent at each bolt on location. The truck has been used infrequently the last six years, but starts right off. It has plenty of usable parts as a parts truck and would be a great start for a project truck! Jonathan is asking $1000 OBO.
