Mopar Truck Parts Gets a NEW 2007 Dodge Cummins Truck

Bob Swift and Joe Leonard
On November 2nd, Joan and I picked up our 2007 Dodge dually Mega cab 4x4 5.9 Cummins at
Swift Dodge Sacramento. Our truck is Patriot Blue with premium cloth seats, 48RE automatic transmission, anti-spin rear differential, rear power sliding window, fold away power trailer tow mirrors and power adjustable pedals. I inspected the truck before taking delivery with the help of the "New Dodge Ram Inspection Checklist" available at
DodgeRam.org.
We will take the Diesel 101 class, "The Care and Feeding of a Dodge Ram Diesel" at
Carson Dodge. Future plans include installing Bestop power steps, chrome wind deflector, front splash guards, transfer case skid plate, and a Pullrite 24K Superglide hitch. We plan on towing a 28' toy hauler fifth wheel.

Swift Dodge Sacramento was started by Bob's Dad, the legendary Chuck Swift, in the 1960's. If you contact Swift Dodge Sacramento, at 800 363-4366, I guarantee you will be greeted with the same courtesy and respect Chuck Swift was famous for.
We got a great truck at a GREAT price. Everyone we spoke with at the dealership was quite knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with. The sales people take pride in doing everything they can to help you get the truck you want.
We met Bob Swift, the owner of the dealership, while we were selecting our truck. Bob is a Dodge truck enthusiast and he has also been a very generous sponsor of our local car show, "Mopar Day in the Park" since it started in 1993. Bob owns a 1973 Power Wagon with a PTO winch he is in the process of restoring. When the Power Wagon restoration is complete, Bob has promised us pictures for our Gallery section. He also owns an Inferno Red 2006 SRT10 which he sometimes uses as a commute vehicle.

Bob ordered 150 EXTRA 5.9 Cummins equipped trucks earlier this year and they've sold a ton of them. Swift Dodge Sacramento,
Swift Dodge
still has the largest selection (over 20) of new 5.9 Cummins trucks in the state of California. If you want one of them, we suggest contacting Edie Asbury at 916 459-0875 or email Edie at
hothemi4u@yahoo.com.

"ItsBIG" replaces the 1975 Viper Blue Power Wagon we built that took second place in the 1997 Capital City Mopars "Day In The Park" car show. Our Power Wagon has a 440 with an Edelbrock aluminum intake and Edelbrock carburetor, RV Cam, forged pistons and it was balanced before assembly. The front differential is a Dana 60 with 3.73 gears and the rear differential is an HD Dana 60 trak-lock. We had the stock tachometer and vacuum and volts gauges installed and the seat was reupholstered in black naugahyde. It has been a great truck. We towed a 21' travel trailer 150 miles into Baja with it, but we think we will like our new roomy Mega cab even better for towing.
