Richard Winters' 1970 W300 Fire Truck

Richard recently purchased his 1970 Dodge W-300 Utiline from a Fire Department in New Jersey. They were the first owners and they purchased the vehicle from their local Dodge dealer in 1970. The vehicle has 8400 original miles and had to be stored indoors because of the general shape of the body and the interior.

When he got the truck home, Richard replaced the original tires, purchased some tubeless OEM type rims from Stockton Wheels, replaced all fluids, belts, rubber hoses and had the radiator rebuilt before performing a tune-up. With the exception of the poorly designed drum brakes and the effort required to operate the manual steering, it is a pretty good daily driver.
