Stewart's 66 Camper Special
Stewart is the third owner of this 1966 Camper Special.. It is the 3/4 ton version with a 318. The engine has been modified with the addition of aftermarket Weims 4 barrel manifold and an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor and air filter. Except for that, it is stock. It has an automatic with a dash mounted shifter. She has a long 8" metal bed. Even though this 66 has been painted twice there is virtually no bondo. The original owner used her for summer vacations with a camper on the back, so the bed liner is "almost" unabused. Winters were spent in a barn so all the wiring has been chewed by mice. Stewart never knows what will go out next! With 88,000 miles on her, she is still a beauty. She started off in northern CA but is now in Ventura. You can reach Stewart at tgardner@ci.ventura.ca.us
