Chuck Olay's 76 Adventurer Sport Camper 7500 Edition

Chuck is the 4th owner of this Dodge truck, acquiring it from a friend in 2000. It only has about 90K on it. The interior and the box bed are both in mint condition. It originally came from British Columbia and Chuck is now in the process of restoring it. It has a 360, automatic, 1 1/2 ton floating hub rear end. Chuck wanted this truck because he had never seen one like it in Canada. We think the 7500s were relatively rare because they were expensive and mostly "purpose built". They were mainly used by utility companies and other entities that needed an extra heavy duty truck. Production was probably around 1500 a year or less. Most of the trucks were used until they dropped then thrown away ( most of the 76 model year ones were probably gone within 10 years). Chuck has one of the rare "survivors". If you have any more info you can share about this Adventurer Sport Camper with Chuck please email him at: olah@sympatico.ca
